How is everyone doing? Raise your hand if you had vacation last week because of hurricane Sandy and are very bitter you have to go back to work this week…Me! Me! Me! Anyways, I hope everyone was safe and warm during this crazy disaster.

My sincere apologies for not blogging in a while. I was saving all my exciting info for a super post. So..Here it is! Its been hot and when I say hot I mean really hot. I hope everyone is staying cool and spending a lot of time at the beach.

Were any of you able to make it to any of our Boutiques? Southshore, KINS and the Festival had great turn outs and we did great! We don’t have any boutiques scheduled in the near future but I will definitely keep you all posted if anything comes up. But…we do have great collections at Kiss & Makeup in Long Island on Central Avenue as well as Mezzo a few stores down. Each store has different collections so be sure to check both!

As you all know, almost all of our stuff is on sale on the website right now. We are doing major updating of all of our products. Get excited because we are adding all new collections in new colors and of course awesome new designs. If you follow us on facebook, instagram and or twitter…you may have gotten a little sneak peak. In other news, I got a new camera for my Birthday! I am super excited to use it and photograph all my new products. Beware of awesome new pictures. I may get carried away and take a little too many. How can you resist those crystal clear pictures. yum!

Hope everyone is holdin’ up in this rainy weather. My new sandals are waiting so patiently in my closet to be worn. Hopefully soon! Anyways, rainy days means staying home and designing some new stuff! Its been busy here for the past few weeks. I have been preparing for some upcoming shows. I will be selling at Southshore in Long Island on May 30th. I also hope to be selling on June 24th at KINS Congregation. All the details will be posted so you can all come out and see me!

Did all the Moms like their bracelets they got for Mother’s day? We hope so! Don’t worry mom, you look so stylish.

I actually feel like a real artist these days. Next week, 3 pieces of my artwork are going to be displayed in the  Revelation exhibit at the Yeshiva University Museum in Union Square. How cool does that sound? I worked on a special semester project and the University puts together a exhibition of our work at the end of the year. The exhibition will be open until september 20th. I am super psyched for the opening reception on May 23rd from 5-7. All are invited!

Who noticed our new scrolling pictures on the website! I’ve been on a photoshop binge and have watched way too many instructional youtube videos but I am sure having fun!

Busy month we had ourselves. We had a taste of some warm sun while on vacation, a boutique at the FontaineBleau Miami and some quality family time. Everything was amazing. It sure is hard coming back to reality. Gotta get back into the swing of things. At least its almost May which means sunny days ahead.

Anyways, the boutique at the FontaineBleau was a total sell out! It was great and we had so many customers ranging from kids to adults! Our best sellers were the stone bracelets, Twister and Ribbon. The neon colors really caught everyones eye.

So i’m back at my work table makin bracelets. Look out for some new styles…So many ideas and not enough time. Follow me on instagram, lkfriedman, to see updated pictures and fun combos!

I hope you all were able to participate in my twitter and Facebook giveaways that were held during the last couple of weeks! I have heard from many fashion bloggers about their excitement and interest in L.a. Kahn. They have all done an awesome job featuring L.a. Kahn on their blogs and twitter mentions. Thanks so much especially to BrooklynBlonde, MASfashion, and Dottoddot! Google Analytics just told me we have had our best month of views yet! We even got an order from London. International! Who would have thought? We were super excited about that.

I was also able to donate 2 bracelets to the AMIT organization for a raffle that they were having during a March Madness event. Hope it went well! And lastly, I received the news that I was invited to sell my bracelets at a boutique at the FountainBleau Miami during the Passover holiday. Been making lots of inventory so please come and stop by on April 11 from 3-9.

Having some anxiety about March 30th, when Facebook switches to timeline…gotta get on that. Any picture ideas?

Spring, Spring, Spring. It’s almost here, I can feel it. I am tempted to put all my boots away and pretend I don’t need them anymore. I really hope there is no more snow.

Anyways, like I promised…New products! I am beyond excited about the new Spring Collection. The colors and patterns I have put together for you are great and really have a taste of spring in them. They all remind me of strolling through the park (wearing sandals of course), wearing awesome new sunnies, licking a delicious fruity popsicle that is quite refreshing. I have added several new bracelets so far but keep checking back for new ones every few days. I am on a spring high!

I also want to tell you about some giveaways this month…look for them–there will be lots! We had one with Kiss&Makeup once they reached 7,000 followers they gave away a free L.a. Kahn Bracelet. On Twitter, check out ClassnFab for a giveaway. Also, MASfashion will also be featuring an L.a. Kahn bracelet. Oh, and one more, DotTodDot! You don’t want to miss these so be on the lookout!

Things have been pretty busy over here. Graduated from college…no biggie, visited some family, relaxed and enjoyed not waking up to an alarm everyday. Those few lazy days are over and it’s time to get movin’! Get used to seeing a lot more of me now

Now that I’m free, no tests to study for and no papers to write–I am all L.a. Kahn Designs and totally psyched about it. As you have noticed, I have added some new bracelets. I know there has not been too many new ones to choose from but you just wait…we got some great new things headed your way. New stuff involves some awesome neon colors and gorgeous natural stones. Check back next week to see Spring 2012 collection. (Totally in NY Fashion Week mode, I may just have to camp out at Lincoln Center)

First of all I am so psyched to share that I was able to donate 2 classic single bracelets to the National Tay-Sachs & Allied Diseases Association for their annual fundraising event. My bracelets and among other things that will be auctioned off hoping to raise money for Tay-Sachs disease research. L.a. Kahn Designs was honored to be part of this opportunity!

So I have been busy making bracelets to fill orders and increase my inventory for an upcoming holiday boutique at the beginning of December! I am looking forward to this event to help spread the word about L.a. Kahn Designs. The boutique is going to take place December 3rd at Manhattan Day School located on the upper west side of New York City. Please come and stop by.
